360? BLu-ray? ADD-ON? ALREADY!?

If you’re an XBOX 360 owner and you’ve invested in the HD-DVD Player add-on for the console, chances are that the following information won’t sit well with you. Strong rumours are swirling around the world wide web that claim that Microsoft is set to bring out a Blu-Ray add-on for the console as early as May 2008.
According to www.smarthouse.com.au/Gaming/Console/J7L7H2R4?page=2“, insiders at Microsoft are claiming that they have already configured a BD player for the 360 but they are waiting on marketing and sales approvals before a planned launch can go ahead.
The same sources, in yet another blow to 360 owners, also claim that a new iteration of the 360 with an internal Blu-Ray drive is in the works.
While it seems as though the “war” between HD-DVD and Blu-Ray is practically dead, this could be seen as a scape goat for Microsoft and a way to reiterate its success, considering they have supported HD-DVD ever since it hit shelves around the world.
